How Galcom Radios have Changed Lives! Galcom International solar fix-tuned radios have been sent into over 120 countries all over the world. They have brought many many people to Christ, and influenced each one to improve their lives. Here are just a few of their testimonies. From Guatemala
Esperanza says, “A year ago I became a Christian listening to the Gospel on my radio. I gave my life to Jesus. I am delighted to be a Christian.” Faustino declares, “Just a month ago I heard about Jesus over this solar radio. Thanks so much. I am now a Christian.” Argentina, a middle aged woman, heard about Jesus for the first time over her solar radio and came to know Him personally. She says, “God bless you for the joy and blessing that you have sent my way.” Clara L. says, “On August 21, 2003, I came to know Jesus. He touched my heart as I listened to the Christian message on my little radio. He deserves all the glory and honour.” Yolanda says, “Just a year ago I met Jesus listening to my solar radio. Now I am very happy.” From a few followers of Christ in the Philippines: Ligaya de la C. says, “I am 64 years old and have been blind for 11 years. I am so thankful to the Lord for the small solar radio that Pastor Ibanez gave me. Through listening to the radio there has been such a change in my life, and my husband’s life. Since I accepted the Lord, I stopped cursing and my husband stopped drinking and smoking. I am happy now because I have peace in my heart. Thank you.” Juanita M. says, “I am 57 years old and have been blind for 18 years. Everyday I listen to the solar radio that Resources for The Blind gave me. I turn on my radio at 5:30 every morning. Through the preaching I got rid of some bad attitudes that I did not even know I had. I thank the Lord because this preaching is for me. I am praying for my husband because he is not yet a believer. I also pray for DZAS and the staff there. I wish all blind people like me could listen to DZAS radio and be encouraged. Though we are blind we can still share the Word of God with unbelievers." Felix C. "I am 63 years old and have been blind for five years. Since I accepted the Lord I share the wonderful works of the Lord, and the Word of God with my family. Now even though I am disabled I do not lose hope because the Lord guides me. When the Holy Spirit indwells us the Lord guides us and never abandons us. I am thankful that I was given this little radio because without it I would not be able to hear the Good News. It seems like this radio is my life. If it is not with me I feel weak and without hope. This radio helps me a lot and has become my recreation." Carmen G. "I am 56 years old and have been blind for six years. I listen to the radio that I received from Resources for The Blind. The programs are very good and I learn a lot. It gives me encouragement. There are so many things that I have learned that I can't count them. At 4:30 every morning, I turn on my radio and listen to praise and then Pastor Marcelo's program called Prayer Garden. Because of the radio sometime I feel like I can see even though I cannot. There is now some lightness and peace in my heart and there are answers when you pray. Thank you."
Francois M. did not want to hear of Christ's gospel. About a year ago, in August 2003, he received a fix-tuned solar radio. Hearing the life giving programs on Radio 4VEH, a true miracle occurred in his life. Not only did Francois become a Christian, but now both he and his wife go to Christ's Church in Limbe and are attending Sunday School each week.
Francois says, "My solar radio is working well, and I send a warm thank you to Radio 4VEH and MFMI. Keep praying for the radios and all the people who are listening. Praise the Lord our God."
Yon Yon is a former witch doctor who was nearly beaten to death, had an eye gouged out, and was dragged through a fire on Christmas Eve, 2003. His only crime was indicating to his voodoo followers at a ritual gathering that he wanted to receive a fix-tuned, solar-powered radio so that he could know about Jesus. Missionary David B. was called to his aid and led him to saving faith in Jesus when he finally regained consciousness. Yon Yon has been faithfully witnessing to his community in southwest Haiti and demonstrating a totally changed life by the power of Christ and His Gospel. He definitely is a very influential man among his people. Many have had their eyes opened to the wickedness of voodoo since YonYon has become a Christian.
A 16-year-old married Muslim woman accepted the Lord through radio and her husband put her in prison with her infant son. That month she had lost her mom and only brother in a car accident. The local church stood by her in prayer. In court, the judge asked her if she had become a Christian and she acknowledged she had come to Christ. The judge granted her a divorce and allowed her to keep her child, something unheard of in this country.
Zewar, a Christian taxi driver living in Zakho, in northwest Iraq, made a practice of giving Galcom radios to customers. In February 2002, a customer demanded that he renounce his faith, and when Zewar refused he shot him 28 times killing him.
Daniel T. is a thirty year old young man. He lived most of his life in a Christian church but after awhile he left it and chose to live a life of sin with the full 'pleasures' offered by this world. He thought he would find happiness this way. He spent almost 6 years leading this kind of life, becoming more and more unhappy and depressed, using alcohol and having no hope of escaping from the slavery of sin, no hope of coming back to his church. One day, he discovered the SOS Radio. Even though he didn't believe it would have any effect on him, he would listen to the radio every evening to find the peace that he needed. Hearing the message of the Gospel every day, he has come to recover his faith and strength. Now he is an active member in his church, outside Ploiesti. He wanted to come to the radio station to encourage us saying that, although we cannot always see the fruit of our activity here, God is working and changing lives. Cristina D. is thirty eight, she is an engineer from Ploiesti. She has listened to some of our talk-shows and was reached by God this way. She was convinced by God that she needed repentance so she turned to Christ, being now a member of a Pentecostal church, 30 km far from Ploiesti. |
Fausto and Miriam Cebeira, who have a ministry in Guatemala, say, “The results have been incredible, far more than we ever expected.” They are so thankful for the Go-Ye radios sent to them that help them extend their arms to many people in Honduras and Guatemala. These people who, especially in the north end of Guatemala, are scattered by war and otherwise hard to reach can hear the word of God through these radios and be greatly blessed.
